Prescribing Information:

Syrup of Iron with Multivitamins (Iron, Folic Acid & Vitamin B) The comprehensive formula of HEMOTON S supplies liberal amounts of anti-anaemic factors together with important vitamins of 'B' group and other elements required by the body in its struggle against disease and during convalescence. Ferric Ammonium Citrate has been used in iron deficiency anaemia as a substitute for  iron without gastrointestinal side effects. Both vitamins and folic acid induce excellent hematologic responses in patients with pernicious anaemia. The other elements in HEMOTON S are essential for the maintenance of vigorous health. Since the drug is a flavoured syrup with good taste,  administration of this drug is more convenient especially to children and geriatric patients.

 Composition:

Each 100ml contains: Ferric Ammonium Citrate B.P.C. 900mg. Folic Acid B.P. 10mg. Thiamine  Hydrochloride B.P. (Vit. B1) 20mg. Pyridoxine Hydrochloride B.P. (Vit. B6) 40mg. Nicotinamide B.P. 200mg. Liquid Glucose q.s.

 Indications:

General debility, Anorexia, Under Weight, Undue fatigue, Nervous exhaustion, Decrease resistance  to infection, Delayed growth and development in children, Prolonged convalescence, Preparation for surgery and Pernicious anaemia

 Dosage and Administration:

The following doses should be administered 2 or 3 times daily after meals.

Adults: 15ml Children: 5 to 10ml Infants: 3 to 5ml

 Storage:Store below 25oC and protect from light.
